The Verde Canyon Railroad is Arizona’s longest-running nature show. Vintage FP7 engines roll past towering, crimson cliffs; near ancient Indian ruins; over old-fashioned trestles and through a 680 foot, man-made tunnel. The historic route travels along the beautiful Verde River, ideally situated above the heat of the desert and below the cold of Arizona’s high country.

In the Spring and summer see Great Blue Heron, and black hawks; Fall and winter bring brightly colored foliage and the arrival of both bald and golden eagles.  During the summer, Saturday night starlight tours offer a unique view of this magnificent canyon.
